If you’ve ever wished you could grab a coffee at Luke’s, wander through Stars Hollow, or spend a fall weekend feeling like you stepped straight into an episode of Gilmore Girls, you might not have to travel quite as far as Connecticut. This September, downtown Brighton, Michigan, is once again transforming into its own version of Stars Hollow.

Destination Stars Hollow returns to Brighton September 25–27, 2026, bringing three days of Gilmore Girls-inspired fun to the heart of Livingston County. The event has become a major fall attraction for fans of the show, combining Brighton’s already charming downtown atmosphere with themed businesses, food, photo opportunities, celebrity appearances, and plenty of nostalgia.

What Is Destination Stars Hollow in Brighton, MI?

Destination Stars Hollow is a Gilmore Girls-inspired festival that takes over downtown Brighton for an entire weekend. Local shops, restaurants, and businesses get involved in the fun, transforming portions of Main Street into places fans will immediately recognize from the series.

Visitors can explore businesses inspired by familiar Stars Hollow locations such as Kim’s Antiques and Al’s Pancake World while experiencing downtown Brighton with a Gilmore Girls twist.

And if you’ve spent any time in downtown Brighton during the fall, it’s not difficult to understand why it works. The walkable Main Street, locally owned shops, restaurants, coffee stops, and small-town atmosphere already have some serious Stars Hollow energy.

When Is the Gilmore Girls Festival in Brighton, Michigan?

Destination Stars Hollow 2026 takes place Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27, 2026, in downtown Brighton, Michigan.

The downtown portion of the festival is free to explore, making it possible to experience the atmosphere, visit participating businesses, check out themed offerings, and enjoy downtown without purchasing general admission.

Some of the festival’s special experiences do require separate paid tickets, including select celebrity meet-and-greets, Q&A sessions, and VIP experiences. Anyone interested in those events should check the official Destination Stars Hollow website for current ticket availability and pricing before making plans.

Gilmore Girls Cast Members Coming to Brighton

One of the biggest draws of Destination Stars Hollow is the opportunity for fans to see actors from Gilmore Girls in person.

The 2026 festival lineup includes Scott Patterson, known to fans as Luke Danes; Sean Gunn, who played the unforgettable Kirk Gleason; and Rose Abdoo, who played Gypsy.

There are also special ticketed Q&A experiences featuring Kelly Bishop, who played Emily Gilmore.

Because celebrity appearances and special experiences may require tickets and availability can change, visitors hoping to attend a specific event should confirm the latest schedule directly with Destination Stars Hollow.

Things to Do at Destination Stars Hollow 2026

The weekend is about much more than celebrity appearances. Downtown Brighton itself becomes part of the experience.

Visitors can expect participating shops and restaurants to embrace the theme with special menus, merchandise, decorations, and experiences inspired by the show. There will also be themed photo opportunities, a Yale tailgate, custom merchandise, and other activities throughout the weekend.

It’s the kind of event where simply walking around downtown is part of the fun. Grab a coffee, explore the shops, find your favorite photo spots, enjoy something from a themed menu, and see just how much of Stars Hollow you can find hiding around Brighton.

And yes, wearing your favorite Gilmore Girls-inspired outfit seems entirely appropriate.

    Is Destination Stars Hollow Free?

One of the best things about Destination Stars Hollow is that you don’t necessarily need a ticket to enjoy the weekend.

Exploring downtown Brighton and experiencing the festival atmosphere is free. However, certain experiences, including celebrity meet-and-greets, Q&A sessions, and VIP opportunities, require paid tickets. Ticket prices vary depending on the experience, with some 2026 ticketed options ranging from approximately $75 to $350.

If there is a particular cast member or experience you don’t want to miss, planning ahead is a good idea.

Why Brighton, Michigan, Makes the Perfect Stars Hollow

For those of us who spend a lot of time in Brighton, the Stars Hollow comparison makes a surprising amount of sense.

Downtown Brighton is one of the things that makes living in Livingston County so special. Main Street is filled with independent restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, community gathering spaces, and local businesses, all surrounded by neighborhoods that put residents close to the action.

Throughout the year, downtown hosts festivals, markets, seasonal celebrations, live entertainment, and community events that bring people together. Destination Stars Hollow takes those characteristics and turns them up a notch for one very Gilmore Girls-filled weekend.

It’s also a great example of something we tell people about Brighton all the time: buying a home here isn't only about the house. You're choosing the community around it, too.

Planning Your Visit to Destination Stars Hollow

If you’re coming from outside Livingston County for Destination Stars Hollow 2026, plan for a busy downtown. With an event that attracts Gilmore Girls fans specifically to Brighton, giving yourself extra time for parking, dining, and exploring is worthwhile.

You may also want to make a full Livingston County weekend out of it. Beyond downtown Brighton, the area offers parks, lakes, trails, cider mills, restaurants, shopping, and plenty of places to experience Michigan in the fall.

Before heading out, check DestinationStarsHollow.com for the latest festival schedule, celebrity appearance information, ticket availability, and any event updates.

    Experience Fall in Brighton, Michigan

Whether you can quote every Gilmore Girls episode or simply love a great fall festival, Destination Stars Hollow is a fun excuse to experience downtown Brighton at one of the best times of the year.

From September 25–27, 2026, Main Street will get a little more Stars Hollow, coffee will feel practically mandatory, and Gilmore Girls fans from near and far will get to experience the small-town charm that Brighton residents get to enjoy year-round.

And if spending the weekend here leaves you thinking, “Wait... could I actually live in Brighton?” — we can help with that part.
